Unclaimed by the Ground

This work examines people trying to move on from a death, specifically recovery occurring when you share the ugly and uncomfortable pain with others. Eventually, it said so many times it becomes an easier reality to accept and the pain lightens. These ideas are encompassed in the work by challenging viewers to step up and interact with something that is seemingly unapproachable through its nature. If one decides to pull the rope they are able to release a small amount of dirt lighting the chiseled bowl that holds it, and eventually, over time if enough decide to interact with it all the dirt will return to the ground, leaving the bowl stained but empty.
