Strung Together

This work started as me exploring multiples, for months I sewed over one hundred fabric tubes. After this accumulation of material, I weaved them into one another, forming a figure that became a personification of when I struggled with my physical health. For half a year I had no way to prevent debilitating episodes of nausea, no diagnosis, and no way to keep food down. My body wasted away in front of me as I struggled to keep up with the world around me. Although the situation this work came from is very individual, the feeling of falling apart but still sanding is universal.
