This piece is a reflection on the height of COVID-19, specifically the broken trust in our society that became glaringly obvious during these times of hardship. For this work I bought a hoard of toilet paper, reflecting on a selfish fad of the pandemic. I unraveled and re-wrapped each role with care and delicacy creating a high society look to something that is used to wipe shit. This act morphed the rolls into a ruff, historically worn by high society and clowns alike. It became a symbol of our modern-day circus filled with selfish hoarding of supplies and wealth.
